The first step of achieving healthy skin is to cleanse your skin regularly. Cleansing is important to maintain the skin regeneration cycle, especially when your skin is exposed to dirt, pollution, sweat, makeup, and produces dead skin cells.

So how do you cleanse your skin and how often should you do it?

According to dr Natasha Cook, Sydney based dermatologist, cleansing in the morning is as important as cleansing in the evening. She says that cleansing twice a day is the key to a clear complexion and healthy skin. It also helps your skin to absorb your skincare and moisturizer better.

The first step of cleansing your skin is choosing the right cleanser for your skin. To avoid, the sensitive skin reaction, choose hypoallergenic cleanser without excessive alcohol, foam, and added fragrance which can disturb your skin.

Cleanse your skin with water in moderate temperature so it will not disturb your skin moisture. You should probably rub the cleanser onto your skin gently to avoid the loss of skin natural barrier.
